Our story began with a simple concept: to make the flooring selection process easier, more convenient, and less stressful for our customers. We recognized the common frustrations that homeowners and contractors alike faced when shopping for flooring - the overwhelming choices, the lack of knowledgeable assistance, and the difficulty of visualizing how different materials would look in their own spaces. As a customer-centric company, we wanted to address these challenges head-on.

In 2012, Ground FX Flooring opened its doors in Southern Illinois, becoming the region's first "shop-at-home" flooring store. With a mobile design center featuring over 2,000 flooring samples, we brought the showroom directly to our customers' homes. This revolutionary approach allowed them to compare samples in their own space, illuminated by their own lighting, and alongside their existing furnishings. It was a game-changer, transforming the flooring selection experience from a daunting task into a fun and interactive journey.

Driven by our commitment to customer satisfaction and a desire to expand our offerings, we quickly added epoxy coatings to our repertoire. Partnering with CTM Coatings, a leader in the industry, we became the fourth CTM Distribution Hub in the United States. Our expanded expertise and inventory allowed us to serve coating installers across the Midwest, cementing our position as a one-stop shop for all flooring and coating needs.

Today, Ground FX Flooring operates from a sprawling 20,000 square foot facility, housing a vast selection of epoxies, concrete coating and polishing systems, equipment, sundries, and supplies. We're proud to be a territory distributor for industry-leading brands like Maverick Surface Preparations, Metabo, ASL, EZ Polish, Surecrete, Torginol, EZ Chem, and Ballistix.

Our Story: The Rise & Grind

Our founders, Mark Novoa and his wife Sarah, are a dynamic duo who bring passion and dedication to every aspect of Ground FX Flooring. Mark's love for the flooring industry began in his youth, starting as a warehouse worker at a local carpet store at the age of sixteen. He quickly transitioned to an apprentice installer, where he discovered a talent for the craft and an entrepreneurial spirit that would drive him to launch his own business. Sarah, with her knack for organization and customer service, complements Mark's expertise and provides a crucial backbone to the company's operations.

Together, with the support of their three sets of triplets, they turned their vision into a reality, transforming a single car garage into a thriving 20,000 square foot warehouse facility. Their hard work, unwavering faith, and commitment to serving their customers have led to remarkable growth and success.
